Waivers
Waiver Timeline - If you are interested in submitting a waiver, please follow this suggested timeline:
1. Discuss with your staff whether or not you want to develop a new waiver or re-submit a previous waiver. DO NOT VOTE YET.
2. Appendix B Waiver Form - This is the Waiver application. If you need help, please contact the CUTA office so we can help you formulate your language.
3. Submit your language to CUTA office for review by February 28th.
4. Once the review by CUTA is complete, you can then vote. 75% of staff affected at the site is the "pass" percentage. If you get 100%, the waiver is good for 3 years, unless you just want to try it for one year to see how it goes. Before sending the waiver to E-Board, your CUTA Head Rep. must sign the waiver to verify the voting, as does the site administrator.
5. Executive Board must vote on your waiver by the last E Board Meeting of the year (last week of May).
6. If a waiver is in place for 3 years without any changes, it is automatically renewed, unless CUTA or CUSD calls for a revote.
